Our client is currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a Permanent Part-Time Position in their Organisation based in Bathurst.

Our client is an employer of choice in the Central West and is looking for a Financial Accountant to be based in their Head Office, in a Permanent Part-Time role. The successful applicant will bring a wealth of experience to the position, and join their Finance team.

Description

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for accurate and efficient processing of financial information. You will be responsible for the weekly, monthly and quarterly financial requirements of the business.

Key responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with CFO and management team to ensure reporting is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Completion of monthly financial statements and reporting
  • Finalisation of Month End and preparation of required EOM reports
  • Oversee reconciliation and general ledger procedures
  • Oversee fixed assets register
  • Complete reconciliation of payroll data
  • Ensure compliance to legislative requirements
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and other requests from senior stakeholders, as required
  • Working closely with the Senior management team and other key stakeholders to assist in meeting the organisations objectives

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Degree qualification in Accounting & Business, or similar
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role, having at least 2 years experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, challenging environment
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • CA or CPA would be highly desirable
  • Knowledge working with MYOB or Xero accounting software
  • Experience working with Deputy software systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to multitask and work with competing deadlines
  • Resiliant and reliable work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail
