About the role:

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be supporting the Finance team by assisting in day to day accounting activities, ensuring the accurate and timely production of monthly management reporting, participating in the budgeting and forecasting process and ensuring the business is compliant with defined corporate governance and legislative standards.

You will be responsible for:

• Management Accounting and Financial Analysis
• Work with the Business Controller to deliver accurate monthly financial reporting, periodic financial KPI reporting per set timelines.
• Collaborate with the Project Managers and Branch managers to manage financial performance of the Business
• Perform financial analysis on contract profitability, labour utilisation, selling and general administrative expenses
• Participate in annual budgeting and planning process with Business Unit and Business Controller.
• Assist in completing monthly reporting pack with detailed commentary including variance analysis.
• Maintain of the integrity and accuracy of the fixed asset register.
• Agreeing month end inter-company loan accounts balances.
• Prepare customer’s profitability analysis by branch
• Collate information required for direct and indirect tax compliance process (where applicable).
• Liaise with business unit to complete FBT return
• Assist in the preparation of monthly BAS returns, ensuring a robust testing process and supporting documentation as appropriate

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Professional qualification through Chartered Accountants ANZ or CPA Australia or other recognised professional accounting body.
• Extensive experience in a similar role within the building services and facility management industry.
• Ability to drill into large amounts of data to extract meaningful insights for business improvement, analyse core issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Strong skills in Excel as well as basic database capabilities
• Experience with PRONTO ERP would be adventurous
