We have an excellent opportunity to join a leading Federal Government Agency responsible for the development of service delivery policy and providiing access to social, health and other payments and service on a 6 month contract, based in Canberra.
 
Job Overview:
The Debt Management Branch is seeking to engage an experienced support officer to assist in the ABC Costing Model project.  Issues have been identified with the alignment of Finance data, BARA data and System data which is making it difficult for the project to progress without remediation of the data. 
The Support Officer will provide high-level administrative and operational support to business teams which may include the department’s financial system and assisting teams with articulation of business requirements and relevant testing, human resource, information technology and other corporate activities. The Support Officer will engage with stakeholders and clients to manage expectations and negotiate reasonable solutions. They will provide advice and guidance on best practice methodologies while adhering to legislation, policies and procedures.
 
Key duties/tasks:

• Finance or HR knowledge
• Undertake complex financial reconciliations which could include multiple sources
• Undertake mapping of information between source systems
• Stakeholder negotiation (realign BARA / FTE and financials across the branch)
• Assist (in-house SME) with business process work and mapping resources
• Provide administrative support for the team and/or work area
• Provide specialist advice to staff and stakeholders
• Research and analyse information and present findings to relevant stakeholders
• Undertake quality assurance activities and integrity checks
