Wilson Transformer Company currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable person. We are seeking someone with experience from a large manufacturing environment, who will thrive under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
The Role:
- Sound understanding of the full Accounts Payable process within a manufacturing environment with three-way matching.
- IT savvy and possess strong system skills to learn and effectively use an Electronic Document Filing System and Invoice Approval work flow
- Add value to process improvement by liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify sources of problems and develop effective solutions
- High volume invoice processing
- Performing supplier reconciliations
- Assist with credit card maintenance and reconciliations
- Assisting with inventory and asset stocktakes and accounting
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Maintain petty cash
- Ad hoc banking
- Providing backup support to other Finance team members
The successful candidate must:
- Be degree qualified in Accounting, Business, Commerce or other relevant fields
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a full Accounts Payable role
- Have experience in a computerised integrated General Ledger system and strong Excel skills
- Excellent people skills
- Possess a basic understanding of project costing
In addition to the technical skills, you will also have strong attention to detail, well developed verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work as a part of a team, and a positive, 'can-do' attitude, highly developed analytical skills, together with a passion for continuous improvement.
