This global FMCG organisation markets a portfolio of iconic household brands. Truly meritocratic, they have an excellent culture and have built a highly engaged and high calibre finance team. Following an internal secondment, an exciting opportunity has arisen that may well develop into a permanent position.

The Position
The role is responsible for providing financial analysis, commercial decision support, management and KPI reporting, and forecasting to the Sales & Key Account functions. This will provide you with exposure across all of their categories and brands. Core responsibilities will cover:

Decision Support

• Analytic support for strategic initiatives
• Development of decision support tools
• Competitor analysis, supporting periodic reviews of pricing frameworks
• Pricing and promotional analysis (pre and post evaluation)

Channel and Category Forecasting

• Support the delivery of the monthly rolling forecast
• Provide the insights of the assumptions that underpin the forecast and communication changes through the business
• Delivery of an assumptions based annual budget through collaboration with the Sales and Category Development teams

Performance Management

• Management of month end processes, reviewing final results and accountable for submissions of accruals
• Timely and relevant analysis of the monthly and YTD results
• Development of management insights around current channel and category performance/identifying trends to drive business improvement

The Requirements:
You will be CA or CPA qualified, ideally with relevant experience gained in a large and complex consumer-focused organisation. Specific competencies we are looking for include:

• Strong intellect and commercial acumen - ability to quickly identify performance levers and recommend strategies for improvement
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills - the ability to challenge, influence and contribute to decision making
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills - ability to clearly articulate financial implications of various scenarios
