Careers & Candidates has been exclusively engaged by our Client, to identify people for the role of Head of Finance.

With a long history in the energy market in Australia, the Directors identified a gap where consumers' service needs were not being met, as technology has evolved. The business has expanded rapidly and is the leader in the domestic market. Please note, the business is not a comparison website, nor anything similar.

With responsibility for the Finance team, the role will also be part of the Executive team. In regard to the finance team, the key will be identifying commercial opportunities and presenting them to your fellow ELT members. This will include areas such as competitor analysis, existing customers, new technology, and opportunities and threats with changes in government legislation etc. Your team will also be responsible for producing the 'standard' range of reporting, from compliance, to internal financial statements, through to budgets, KPI's and management reporting. Then as part of the ELT, you will contribute to overall business strategy decisions and help to manage the growth of this mid sized business, with sustainable long term strategy.

The right person for this role, will likely have a background in products, such as within a FMCG or retail industry. You are excited by being involved in commercially focused work and you enjoy understanding the business and what drives it.
