Our Client
Our client is a well-established Information Technology business based in Maroochydore that offers a comprehensive range of technical solutions and support to drive the success of their clients who are local businesses here on the Sunshine Coast.
Our client is seeking a hands-on experienced Accountant who has the proven ability to look behind the numbers to provide analysis, reporting and recommendation to the Managing Director to facilitate the ongoing growth and continuing success of the business. The role on offer is 20 hours per week spread over 5 days, which would ideally suit someone wishing to work school hours or have a flexible lifestyle balance.
In this highly varied role you will be responsible for:
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, daily/ weekly / monthly financial activities and financial and management reporting.
The role works cohesively with the external Accountants to ensure statutory submissions are made in an accurate and timely manner.
Some of your specific duties will include:
- Daily bank / credit card reconciliations
- Weekly Invoicing, payments and payroll
- Debtor follow up
- Weekly cash flow reporting
- Monthly reconciliations and reporting
- Lodgement of monthly IAS, quarterly BAS
- Preparation of annual financials
- Monthly / weekly management reporting
- Analysis of P & L items to make informed recommendations to the MD
- Annual budgeting
- Maintenance of Depreciation Schedule (book & tax)
- Manage company assets
- Resolve client account queries
- Maintain the asset register
To be considered for this role you:
- Be a tertiary qualified accountant
- Have extensive computer literacy in accounting and business programs (preferably Xero)
- Management Accounting and Business Analysis background
- A minimum of 5 years' experience is required to be considered for this role
Your commercial experience along with business analysis and management reporting will give you the ability to provide 'real world' business advice and make a difference to our clients business.
