As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely payroll processing for all of Peters Ice Cream. This is a full-time permanent position. 

You will be involved in the total end-to-end processing of payroll including providing support to the HR and Finance teams on internal payroll queries, reporting and reconciliation, the provision of advice and continuous improvements on payroll practices and a commitment to produce high-quality work with excellent customer service to a geographically dispersed workforce.
  
Daily Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of pays and payroll functions for 450+ employees (EA employees and corporate employees). 
  • Carrying out checks, reviews, and auditing of payroll data and outcomes to ensure accurate payment processing for all staff.
  • Effectively lead, manage and develop payroll officer in accordance with the organisation's policies and applicable laws. 
  • Responding to internal stakeholders' payroll queries with a high level of customer focus.
  • Ensure that reconciliations and reporting of payroll information for Finance reports are consistent and correct.
  • Calculation and payments of Superannuation, PAYG, termination and redundancies, Month-end and annual reporting.
  • Preparation and lodgement of workers compensation and garnishees.
  • Work with external auditing firm for compliance purposes.

Ideal Profile:

  • A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in a within a complex organisation.
  • Knowledge and experience in payroll processing. 
  • Experience in an environment with multiple Awards/Agreements
  • Payroll Systems experience, Chris21 (Frontier) preferred, but not mandatory 
  • Knowledge of financial and audit requirements (specifically in their application to payroll)
