Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (www.hcma.com.au) is a part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.
Based in Greystanes, our Audit and Compliance Department conduct a wide range of Risk Based Audits while assessing the strength of existing internal controls.
This is a challenging and diverse role and requires you to travel occasionally to our group company in New Zealand.
Reporting to the Oceania Audit Manager you will be responsible for:
- Walk through business process with SME (Subject Matter Experts)
- Create Flow Charts in MS Visio based on the walkthrough completed.
- Identify Inherent Risks involved.
- Explore and document corresponding preventive controls in the Flow Charts.
- Assess and evaluate existing internal controls.
- Design Detective Controls.
- Finalize the Flow Charts incorporating controls for the risks found.
- Develop Risk Control Matrix (RCM) in MS Excel.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Auditing and/or Accounting
- Few years of previous experience in assessment of internal controls
- Experience in Big 4 firms will be considered favourably
- Ability to understand a wide range of business processes and systems
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Visio
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders including Project Team, Trainers and SME
- Good Time Management skills.
