About us
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of NSW Parliament by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales.

 

About the position
In this role you will be responsible for the professional and accurate delivery of both monthly and fortnightly payrolls, to the Members and staff, using SAP HR/Payroll system.  You will have excellent attention to detail combined with contemporary knowledge of payroll, taxation, NSW employment awards and policies and the ability to apply your knowledge to ensure tight timeframes are met.

 

As the Payroll Supervisor you will provide advice on the relevant legislation, awards and policies, undertake payroll projections and simulations, as well as all processes around payroll, including ETP’s, redundancies, retirements, and dismissals. You will configure, test, verify changes to the payroll system and integrate them into the production server.

1. Please outline in detail your experience in managing payroll functions end to end including an example of when you resolved a complex problem in time to meet payroll deadlines.
2. Please outline in detail your experience in processing terminations, including ETP’s, redundancies, resignations and retirements including a time when you were when faced with processing large numbers of terminations within a tight timeframe.
