Accounts Assistant

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is well suited to someone with enthusiasm, drive and the desire to develop their experience with a prominent player in the industry.

 

Key areas of responsibility include

  • Inputting data into the system for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Responsible for supplier reconciliation statements
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of month end financial reporting information
  • Assist finance manager with day to day financial activities of the business
  • Any ad hoc duties as required

Professional Requirement

  • High attention to detail and the ability to find solutions to problems as they arise
  • Bookkeeping experience will provide an edge for this role
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
  • Flexibility to work overtime on short notice at certain times of the year
  • Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems by being collaborative, creative and analytical.
