The opportunity and role
This is an opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to work within our fast paced and high performing finance team.
Located in Melbourne you will report to the Head of Finance. Your role will oversee the financial management of a dedicated client group that specialise in Personal Injury Law (PIL) in Victoria.
You will collaborate with the Finance team to achieve the financial and strategic goals of the division.
In addition you will provide direct financial support to the PIL GM in order for them to achieve division goals and objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing meaningful insight to maximise the performance of the PIL division at a gross margin and EBITDA level
- Provide direct financial support to the PIL division around fee and labour cost forecasting and working capital management
- Maintaining strong communication to ensure the Head of Finance is aware of trends within the division
- Ownership of the Work in Progress (WIP) valuation process and analysis for respective division
- Monitor various aspects of division performance including fees, ROI, resourcing and WIP
- Oversee and coordinate the annual budgeting process for the division including forecasting, planning, KPI setting and capex
To be successful
You will be a highly experienced Finance Business Partner who is able to display a terrific work ethic and a self-starter mindset.
Your CA / CPA qualification, significant experiences in financial business partnering in a professional services environment and your track record in partnering with senior management will ensure your ongoing success in this position.
In addition you will have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a proven ability in presenting and providing recommendations on accounting and finance concepts.
