Purpose of this role
Reporting to the Taxation Manager, the primary responsibility of successful applicant will be to ensure that accounting and compliance activities of the internal tax function are performed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
Accountabilities
- Income tax return preparation (Aust & NZ)
- Liaising on a regular basis with external advisors and auditors
- Research & advise on tax issues
- Preparation of year-end entity tax packages and notes to the statutory accounts
- Compilation of R&D claims
- Conducting reviews as and when required
- Develop and maintain group tax risk management systems
- Preparation of GST and FBT returns (Aust & NZ)
Skills required
- Previous experience in a tax or business services role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- CA/CPA studying or CA qualified
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Driven, ambitious and eager to learn
