Cervus Equipment Australia, a leading John Deere dealer in Victoria, with 6 branches and 150 employees, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly efficient Accounts Officer to join our finance team at our Shared Resource office in Lake Gardens.

To be successful you will be an individual with strong accounts and administrative skills, excellent time management and a high level of customer service, which will ensure you are able to effectively support the wider business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Data entry of accounts payable invoices
  • Reconciliation of Creditor statements and Credit Cards
  • Processing of weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Assist in the processing of daily bank reconciliation
  • Maintenance of Motor Vehicle Etags and fuel cards
  • Fixed Asset maintenance and reporting
  • Payroll support
  • Assisting with month end journals and general ledger reconciliations
  • Administrative duties as required

To be considered for this position you will need the following:

  • A positive, helpful, flexible and supportive disposition
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Minimum 2 years’ accounts and bookkeeping experience
  • Drivers Licence
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues adhering to company values and policies.
