Is a large aged care organisation that runs as a charity, based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne, who have a commitment to the community and run care homes in Melbourne and regional Victoria. The incumbant payroll officer within the team of 6 are moving into another team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a monthly payroll of 4,500 employees is processed in accordance with EBAs, awards and NES.
  • Delivering top class customer service to any member of staff who has a pay query.
  • Reconciling payroll to the general ledger.
  • Producing and sending out PAYG
  • Tax

    The position is an end to end payroll role, you will get involved in every part of payroll.

    Requirements:
  • Payroll is the largest cost for most aged care organisations, you will be required to deliver great customer service and full end to end payroll. As a consequence of which you will be an experienced payroll officer with an understanding of awards, enterprise bargaining agreements and national employment standards.
  • In addition two things are important in this role, those are:
  1. Good Maths skills (at least year 12 or equivalent) and excellent mental arithmatic, to spot errors that may occur within the system.
  2. Excellent English skills (at least year 12 or equivalent), to deliver a positive experience of engagement and helpfulness when employees call in to discuss their payroll.
