About the role
You will be responsible for managing the group finance function and accounting operations of this well know Retail organisation. You will provide reporting and operational finance support to the business and lead a team of accountants. You will partner with the business to understand sales drivers, profit improvement, cost optimisation and business growth.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties include (but not limited to):
- Implement financial integrity to the balance sheet
- Provide advice on inventory
- Management of monthly, half-yearly and year end reporting
- Policy and process documentation
- Manage the financial system
- Manage the cash flow
- Lead a team of accountants and manage performance
- Lead the audit process
- Ad hoc projects
You will be a CA/CPA qualified accountant who has had hands on experience in a Finance Manager or Controller role. You will have worked in a retail, online, fmcg or similar environment. You will have strong communication skills, with a track record of partnering with key senior stakeholders. Experience in a Chartered firm, ideally Big 4 is highly advantageous.
