This global FMCG business is a market leader in its chosen industry and currently undergoing a period of significant growth. Due to this growth, the organisation is seeking a Commercial Analyst - Projects to support a suite of concurrently running projects across Australia. This organisation is widely recognised and respected brand name anticipating further expansion. As a result, a newly created opportunity for an innovative and Commercial Analyst - Projects has be created to provide significant impact across the organisation by providing vital financial insights and contributions to commercial operations.

The Job
Reporting to the Commercial Manager - Projects, this Commercial Analyst will partner with Projects team in over seeing and managing reporting and commercial analysis in relation to projects. On a day to day basis, this Commercial Analyst - Projects will work closely with the business in preparing accurate monthly and quarterly budgets along with review of forecast variances. On an on going basis, you will play a key part commercially reviewing operational inefficiencies and making suggestions for CAPEX investments.

You will be required to engage key stakeholders through the appropriate channels (interviews, meetings and workshops) and deliver documented business as usual (BAU) processes required to manage the end to end flow and reconciliation of data connected to the business as well as documented requirements for management reporting, testing of processes and management reports and documented roles and responsibilities of the key stakeholders engaged in the process.

The successful Commercial Analyst - Projects will expand to commercial business analysis where you will be required to carry out financial analysis to support and propose cost reduction plans. It will be your role to build business partnering relationships with various stakeholders within your division as this will assist you in gathering the right data for your analysis as well as giving your internal customers the correct business reporting that they need to drive strategy.

The successful Commercial Analyst - Projects will also spend substantial time visiting plant sites and design tools, dashboards, and Key Performance monitoring systems to assist Regional and Service Centre Managers in ensuring the smooth running of processes and tracking of costs.

Candidate Profile
You are business degree qualified and have completed your CA/CPA. You are currently working in a Retail/FMCG Operational environment with strong experience in project capacity. You will have strong commercial analysis experience and would feel comfortable working with multiple stakeholders. Your personality is energetic and strong and you have robust influencing skills. Technically you feel comfortable challenging business models and you are able to influence those around you without direct leadership.
