We have an opportunity available in our Gold Coast office for a part-time Accountant to join our team.  This role may progress to full time.  We are seeking a qualified Accountant with the ability to multitask and a high level of attention to detail, good attitude and the willingness to get in and get the job done.  A high regard for safety is essential.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Degree qualified
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Previous experience in Great Plains (desirable)
• Broad experience in accounts payable and receivable roles
• Ability to work independently and manage own work schedule 
• Be a permanent resident or Australian Citizen

Primary Duties:

• Assist with creation and posting of monthly debtor invoices and processing of statements 
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and payroll entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and monthly reporting
• Maintain the Fixed Asset register
• Assist with the preparation of budgets
• Assist in the preparation of BAS, FBT, IAS, GST and PAYG etc
• Ability to analyse and solve problems
• Develop new reports to assist and improve monthly reporting
