Following a review of our organisational structure, we are excited to announce the introduction of a number of new positions in our Trustee office based in Canberra.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, the General Manager Finance oversees all fiscal activities across the organisation, and leads and coordinates financial planning, reporting, internal control and budget management functions.
The successful applicant will bring the following skill, experience and knowledge:
- Degree in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline;
- Qualified in professional accounting i.e. Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant;
- Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing high performing teams;
- Substantial experience in a similar role in the superannuation or financial services sector;
- Proven leadership skills to be able to set directions and priorities for employees;
- Substantial knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost-control principles, and financial and accounting systems;
- Extensive experience dealing with, and managing, large and complex budgets;
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level professional judgement in complex financial matters relevant to the sector;
- Post graduate qualifications in business or finance is desirable but not essential.
