This ASX Listed company is the largest wholesale supplier of energy equipment out of Queensland, with a national distribution chain across Australia.
The role presents an excellent opportunity to come in at either the Senior Financial Accounting or Finance Manager Level depending on experience within a dynamic and innovative company which has seen consistent growth and increased revenue.
As part of the role, you will not only be responsible for the integrity of the financial statements, but also have the autonomy to establish accounting practices, streamline month-end processes in order to promote efficiencies, and also manage the finance function of this prestigious ASX Listed company located in Brisbane CBD.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly financial reporting process;
- All end of month processing including overseeing of general ledger reconciliations and reporting;
- Leadership of transactional functions - AP, AR and Payroll;
- Preparation of monthly financial reports and review of transactions into General Ledger;
- Preparation of AASB compliant financial statements, including compliance with relevant accounting standards and ASX reporting requirements; and
- Enhance and develop processes and reporting to provide accurate management accounting, cash flow forecasting and budget reporting.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- CPA / CA qualified and ideally have come from a chartered accounting environment;
- Five + years in commercial senior financial accountant related roles;
- Extensive experience in the provision and analysis of financial and management accounting reports;
- Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of responsibilities including managing staff and workload priorities;
- Experience in dealing with and influencing stakeholders across the organisation and at senior levels; and
- Experience dealing with external auditors and bankers.
