This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper looking for a Permanent Part Time (3 days per week) that can start immediately or with minimal notice. You will be joining a friendly, supportive, close knit Accounts Team located centrally in Sydney CBD.  

 

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent computer (software) skills.
  • Broad experience in accounts receivable roles.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and manage own work schedule.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Confident communications skills.
  • Team player.
  • Relevant qualification (desired)
  • Hold the right work visa/permits to work in Australia.

 

The Role:

The role is varied and will be responsible for assisting accounts for a group of companies.

 

Duties Include Assisting with:

  • Prepare monthly BAS returns
  • Reconcile superannuation monthly
  • Reconcile monthly Balance Sheet GL accounts for all entities before close off month end
  • Reconciling daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Debt Collection
  • Prepare journals
  • Post GL ledger batches
  • Raise and email client invoices when required
  • Raise inter- company cross charges invoices to the relevant subsidiary company as required
  • Enter suppliers invoices as required
  • Answering customer queries / clearing customer accounts as required
  • Depositing cash receipts and daily banking
  • Posting all cash receipts to sub ledger as required
  • Processing credit card payments as required
  • Assist in month end process, GL reconciliations, Bank reconciliations, billings etc.
  • Assist in preparing of Fringe Benefits Tax Annual returns
  • Assist in preparing of Payroll Tax Annual returns
  • Assist Financial Controller and other accounts team members when required
  • Filing
  • Back up of phones for incoming calls via main switch when required
