Committo is a managed IT services specialist that provide strategic, end-to-end IT solutions from strategic planning and systems design to implementation and long-term management is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their Melbourne CBD based team.

Position Overview:-

This role is to stand in during maternity leave for a 12 month temporary contract, with the possibility of extensions being available. We have planned for 6 weeks of handover to be included.

The role is to work 4 full days per week (30 hours) within our recently fitted top-floor open plan office with park views utilising our sit to stand workstations.

We offer a flexible work environment ideal for parents, students etc as well as work from home and remote access available, though the role is based in the office (ad-hoc work from home available occasionally).

The position is due to start early September 2018

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:-

Accounts

  • Invoicing
  • Receivable
  • Payable
  • BAS
  • Bank Rec
  • Reporting
  • Account Maintenance
  • Processing Expenses
  • Payroll

Procurement

  • Preparing quotes
  • Purchasing
  • Liaising with vendors
  • Following-up Orders
  • Managing Contracts in CRM

General Office Administration

  • Dealing with office maintenance contractors
  • Booking staff travel and accommodation
  • Arranging team meeting/functions
  • Proof reading customer communication
  • Greeting Guests
  • Accepting Deliveries
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Managing leave
  • Managing technician after-hours rostering
  • Updating phone system for after hours changes

Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computing skills (MS Office Intermediate)
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Previous experience, or an interest in, IT
  • Tech savvy
  • Basic understanding of commercial hardware and software
  • Experience with some business accounting software
  • At least 12 months experience in an Accounts based role
  • Experience with the majority of the Accounts responsibilities and duties listed above
  • Xero experience well regarded but not required
  • Dynamics CRM well regarded but not required
  • SharePoint well regarded but not required
  • ATO Portal well regarded but not required
