About Us
Corbett Neurophysiology Services has multiple practices and is now in the process of opening additional practices in SE Queensland. Professor Corbett has practiced as a Neurologist successfully for over 50 years.
Prof John Corbett is a Neurologist and Sleep Physician. In approx. 1996 he established a group of sleep disorders clinics called SNORE AUSTRALIA. The business progressively expanded and eventually comprised thirty diagnostic sleep centres. The business was profitable, and at the time it was sold in 2010, it was the largest diagnostic sleep group in Australia (and one of the largest such groups in the world). Since that time, Prof Corbett has restricted his practice to neurophysiology.
CNS employs 5 Neurologists and approx. 25 staff in 5 locations of SE Qld.
Duties & Skills
Provide support for strategic business decisions, supported by insightful reporting & analysis
Responsible for all reporting processes, including business reviews, tracking revenue & fees, contract negotiations
An interest in improving business processes & understanding how key financial information is reported
Accurate completion of internal management reporting & external reporting, incorporating skills in data analysis, variance analysis
Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, including knowledge & advice on GST, FBT & the application of accounting standards
Budgeting & forecasting of revenue & operating expense items as well as capital expense requirements
Managing the business' overall cash position, insurance renewals, financing & liaising with advisors on legal, tax & accounting matters
Processing fortnightly payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT Returns
Maintaining the general ledger to ensure data's integrity & accuracy, including general ledger reconciliations
Monitoring insurance for all company and personal matters, including keeping schedules up to date, competent filing electronic paper for all accounting related matters. Maintaining lease documentation.
Maintaining Employment Contracts and staff wages and conditions aligned to the FWA conditions.
Experience using MYOB combined with intermediate to advanced excel skills
Attention to detail is essential, as is excellent English written & verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
