Role Details

Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their Payroll Team in the West Perth Office. This role is offered on a part time 3 day working week and is available on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract for an immediate start.

Reporting to the Supervisor: Payroll and HR Systems, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive service to all GFA employees by providing an efficient, accurate and timely payroll service and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Payroll Department’s functions and capability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of GFA and ensures that the Vital Behaviours are adhered to at all times
  • Deliver payroll payments to GFA employees by processing and checking relevant documentation and transactions to enable an accurate and timely service.
  • Provide a professional customer service and accurate, timely advice on payroll-related queries to GFA HR personnel, GFA Managers and the broader employee base.
  • Meet legal and statutory obligations by complying with rules, laws and audits affecting the payroll and HR administrative processes such as PAYG, Superannuation, other third party payments and SOX compliance, through the timely and accurate payment and delivery of reports and other related information.
  • Communicate payroll requirements and timeframes clearly and effectively to the GFA HR Teams and GFA employees and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll paperwork, payments and deductions so that all GFA employees are paid correctly and on time at every pay cycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive personnel files for all GFA employees through regular and accurate filing of information and paperwork and manage the archiving and retrieval of files according to the GFA archiving procedure.
  • Compile and deliver Payroll Reports to the GFA HR Teams and GFL HR Teams within agreed timeframes.
  • Build productive and constructive interpersonal relationships both internally and externally to facilitate the accomplishment of department goals and targets.

Key factors to your success include;

  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office applications
  • Minimum 2 years basic and 1 year comprehensive experience in a Payroll Administration role
  • Experience in using the SAP HR/Payroll Module would be essential.
  • Experience with Success Factors Employee Central is highly desirable
  • Ability to work well within a highly productive team
