About the role
Best Sheds has an opportunity for an experienced Commercial/Finance Manager, preferably with a manufacturing background. This role is ideally suited to an experienced Finance Management accountant looking for their next career move.
Skills and experience
- Overall responsibility for Bank Reconciliation, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash flow, Asset Register and working capital across the group;
- Timely reporting of group financial information to CFO and Directors;
- Continually monitor the balance sheet position and identify potential exposure (if any);
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and ensure CFO sign off;
- Work closely with the CFO and Directors in preparation of the business plan and operational budget.
- Identify and resolve financial and administrative issues.
- Assist in implementing standard accounting policies.
- Ensure the preparation and maintenance of all financial records.
- Respond to queries from our sales team in a timely manner.
- Supervise and manage the weekly payroll processing and tax filing activities.
- Develop overall goals for the finance and administration departments.
- Management of all agreements (including employee related paperwork) across the group in order to safeguard Best Sheds interests and to limit liability and risk, whilst meeting the overall business plans and strategies;
- Liaise with external accountants on a regular basis.
- Develop, lead and effectively manage a small team to achieve the company's strategic objectives, while at the same time ensuring staff are motivated.
