Our client is a rapidly growing and reputable company specializing in the supply of products to the Food, Beverage and Flavour industries in both Australia and abroad. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Accounts Officer role is critical to ensuring the continued success of this exciting business as it continues to grow from strength to strength. Based in Melbourne’s North-Eastern suburbs, the successful candidate will have a great attitude and determination to perform and support this driven, young team to achieve their goals. The role will be 4 days per week and on a rolling contract with a view to permanency for the right person. 

DUTIES

• Accounting and general administration;
• Accounts payable;
• Accounts receivable;
• Reviewing Letter of Credit (L/C) to determine compliance with international standards;
• Payroll & superannuation;
• Bank reconciliation functions;
• Inventory management; and
• BAS preparation

SKILLS & EXPERTISE

• Have proven experience with accounting principles and finance;
• Studying or intend to study towards CPA, CA;
• be skilled in working with multiple currencies; 
• be confident in the use of Excel, Word, and Xero (Multi-Currency);
• be a strong communicator;
• be flexible with the ability to multi task and pick up new duties quickly; and
• have a minimum 3 years' experience (industry experience preferred)
