The Position
Reporting to the AP/AR Manager, your primary focus will be to provide accounting support to our Gainsborough Door & Access Division. This role will be intimately involved with the accounts payable activity to support the commercial operations of the Gainsborough / Allegion division.
You will be responsible for:
- Entering and matching supplier invoices to purchase orders
- Entering and coding authorised non-purchase order supplier invoices
- Preparing and posting suppliers payments
- Reconciling supplier accounts
- Following up pending supplier invoices with purchasing staff to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Reconciling intercompany payables/receivables
- Reconciling supplier accounts if there is a dispute over payment, invoices and balances
- Issues, follows up, collect and post company credit card statements and verify receipts for all transactions
- Post direct debits and other automated payments recorded on the daily bank statements
- Contact suppliers for invoices not received, processed or paid.
Who You Are
The successful Accounts Payable Officer will:
- Have previous working experience in Accounts Payable activities
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Experience in manufacturing industry (ideal)
- Experience with accounting software
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Fast and accurate data entry
