Reporting to the Finance Manager, the position will be based at our Karratha office and will be part-time offering 3-4 days per week with some flexibility for working days/hours.  This position requires an experience finance professional with the skills, experience and energy to support the broader team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

  • Accounting – entry of day to day financial transactions
  • Managing the general ledger
  • Month end journals and procedures
  • Accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Processing payroll, payroll tax and superannuation
  • Bank reconciliation functions (including petty cash)
  • Invoicing and creating purchase orders for suppliers, sponsors and funding providers
  • Monthly Payroll Tax Return preparation and lodgement
  • Other general tasks as directed by either the Financial Manager or Managing Director.

 

Key Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as Bookkeeper in the construction or a similar industry
  • Accurate data entry skills, highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently or working in team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills & problem-solving ability
  • High level of competency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook 365
  • High level of competency & knowledge using MYOB
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible attitude.

 

Candidates must live in the Karratha region to be considered for the position, have the right to work in Australia to be considered and meet other pre-employment checks.

Please note the selected individual will be required to pass a Drug and Alcohol test in order to be considered for this role.
