The Role
As the Assistant Accountant, your role will be varied and broad with lots of opportunities to develop. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Working with the Finance Manager to prepare and finalise month end this includes general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Billings and also supporting the AR officer
- Payroll for 200 employees including payroll journals and payroll tax calculations
- BAS & FBT lodgement
- Assisting the maintenance of the fixed asset register
Your Background
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following attributes and background:
- Experience in an Assistant Accountant role in a professional environment.
- Experience of billing in a WIP environment (ideally)
- Month end experience, preferably with AP and AR too
- Ambitious with a diligent approach. You should be keen to learn and excited about change and improvement
- You must be degree qualified and ideally with about 2-4 years experience in an accounting role
