This is a fantastic entry point into a successful and growing diversified industrial services conglomerate with coverage right across the globe. Growth for the group has been through both organic means as well as shrewd corporate activity over the past 5 years, and this appetite for further expansion into new markets and territories is evident through recent transactions. This critical hire comes on the back of a significant transformation program, and will elevate the planning and forecasting function to attract a high potential talent keen to make an impact in this complex multi billion dollar group.
Reporting to the GM Finance, this role will ensure that a robust planning process operates throughout the Group to enhance business understanding, generate forward thinking and value creating decisions. Key to this role is working in conjunction with the Business Units on business planning processes to ensure consistency and comprehensiveness of plans and financial forecasts.
You will monitor business performance against strategic objectives and provide key analysis and financial modelling (including scenario models) to draw insights and capture opportunities for improving performance. A key objective of this role is to transition the quarterly forecast process to a timely and efficient monthly forecast process, whilst capturing monthly risks and sensitivities. Additionally, you will support the Chief Financial Officer to ensure short term and long term performance meet targets and create shareholder value as well as comparative analysis to evaluate returns, cash flows and balance sheets efficiency of peer organisations.
Your stakeholders will be varied, right across the Executive Leadership Team, external advisors, investors and ratings agencies. Your success will be determined by the delivery of a robust planning platform as well bringing learnings and "smarts" around the SAP BPC tools to drive the Demand Planning and S&OP processes towards an integrated planning process. This role will lead and develop a small team within the Planning function.
You will be CPA/ CA qualified with demonstrable experience gained within the corporate planning function of a large group with significant complexity. Your ability to navigate and influence a wide audience of senior stakeholders (both internal and external) is essential as is being a self starter keen to take the initiative to seek out business process improvements.
