The Company:
This reputable media production company is seeking a Junior Accounts Officer to join their team. This position is paying around $45k + super and is located near Edgecliff train station. The role is an all-rounder position ideal for  a finance / accounting graduate keen to get into the media industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up supplier cards within the financial system and checking ABN details for GST purposes
• Setting up talent cards and ensuring tax and superannuation documentation is on file and
• lodged with relevant agencies
• Input of invoices both production and agency on a daily basis
• Payment runs based on production schedules
• International payments where required
• Payroll for crew / talent
• Journal entries for payroll to jobs
• Preparation of Payment Summaries at EOFY for freelancers
• Preparation of superannuation payments for talent
• Prompt response email queries from production team and external stakeholders
• Manage communications both internally and externally on prompt and weekly payments
• Upload payments to bank and manage approvals
• Cabcharge distribution, journal preparation and reconciliations
• Banking requirements – Cheque deposits, cash collections as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
