Coral Horizon Finance is a vertically integrated Wealth Management firm with over 25 years experience providing a range of services including Financial Planning, Accounting and Mortgage Broking throughout the Southern Suburbs region and are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Cockburn Central based team.

Position Overview:-

This role requires someone who is able to independently service the existing client base (Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Individuals) and some SMSF's. 

You will be experienced enough to be able to run the Accounting business autonomously and can think strategically about business growth / opportunities

In addition you will be responsible to build/grow the existing Accounting business unit as well as manage 2 bookkeepers.

We will also provide you with Administration Support with an experienced staff member to handle the bulk of the Administration workload.

Your main responsibilities and duties will include:-

  • Independently service the existing client base (Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, Individuals) and some SMSF's
  • Build/grow the existing Accounting business unit
  • Manage x2 Bookkeepers
  • Create 2-way referral opportunities with other business units
  • Individual Tax Returns

Your experience, skill set and qualifications will include:-

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computing skills (MS Office Intermediate)
  • Dependable and reliable
  • 6 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position
  • CA / CPA qualified
  • MYOB – Xero- MYOB AO- BGL360
  • Some experience with – Receipt bank – DocuSign
  • Able to identify referral opportunities and the value add for clients
  • Being a Registered Tax Agent (or able to apply quickly) will be regarded but not required
  • Experienced enough to be able to run the Accounting business autonomously and can think strategically about business growth / opportunities
  • Previous exposure to SMSF's
  • Broad client exposure. Must be able to fully service larger, more complex clients and be prepared to complete individual tax returns
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously, at times with minimal support  
  • Be prepared to “roll up their sleeves” on occasions – assist other workers where needs be to get the work done
  • Must be comfortable completing a reasonable quantity of Individual Tax Returns
