This is one of Australia’s leading national and globally affiliated Mid-Tier accounting firms. The firm is in a definite growth phase which is testament to the high level of professional service and relationships they maintain with their clients. As part of their growth and development they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Audit Manager to the firm.

As the Technical Audit Manager, you will be given the opportunity to lead the interpretation and application of Australian Auditing and Assurance standards across the firm. You will also be responsible for responding to queries from partners and staff arising during the course of engagements and provide support to the broader Australian network of firms on technical audit and assurance matters. The role will also be responsible for preparing technical articles and bulletins and preparing and delivering training to staff regarding the standards and relevant updates and amendments.

The successful applicant is likely to be:

• A qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA
• Currently working in a similar technical role within an accounting, regulatory or academic environment
• Able to demonstrate 7+ years’ experience in a role focused on professional standards
• Able to demonstrate strong research and investigative skills and enjoy analysing and evaluating technical information
• Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of audit and assurance frameworks

In the role, you will be an integral member of the Assurance and Advisory team of the firm. Applicants will be considered at the Manager and Senior Manager levels on both a part-time and full-time basis.
