The Position
St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital has a new and exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Assistant Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Manager Finance, you will assist in the preparation of financial administration and financial planning and analysis activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, budget monitoring and other transactional support.
This position will be offered on a permanent part time basis, working 60 hours per fortnight with the flexibility to work full time hours when required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Degree qualified and working towards (or having achieved) CPA/ CA or other similar accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant financial accounting and administration experience.
- Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem solving, investigative skills and demonstrates initiative.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, both oral & written.
- Excellent computer skills with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Commitment to quality and actively seeks to continually improve work processes.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Organised. Ability to prioritise workload.
- Ability to work and maintain performance in a pressured environment.
