The portfolio of this role would include Brightlight Group Pty Ltd, which provides bespoke investment consulting and management services to institutional clients across the private, philanthropic and government sectors.
About the Role
Status: Possibility for Full Time or Part Time (0.8)
Location: Rhodes Corporate Park
Reporting To: Finance Manager
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all generalist financial management and administration for your portfolio, including but not limited to monthly bookkeeping, AP, AR, balance sheet reconciliation and monthly management reporting
- Preparation of budget for the portfolio
- Preparing audit documents and financial statements, as well as being responsible for statutory accounting and reporting standards
- Prepare monthly IAS/BAS as well as annual tax returns
- Responsible for 3 months and 12 months cash flow forecast analysis
- Prepare bank reconciliation
- Prepare and process monthly payroll
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
- CA or CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in Financial Accounting or similar
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the Finance Manager to identify finance requirements, building effective relationships at all levels of the organisation and collaborate and influence and across functions
- Strong computer literacy, with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of legal entity control
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle and prioritise tasks
- Xero or SAP experience
- Strong understanding of Christian worldview, with the ability to apply this worldview to finances and a commitment to Christian Super’s mission and values
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a fund manager, investment manager or financial services sector
