My client is looking to attract a high calibre Group Finance Manager to join their head office team, located near Brisbane CBD.
This is an exciting and varied position for the successful candidate. The main purpose of this role is to support and assist the Group CEO, ensuring all reporting, accounting and tax obligations across the Group are complied with.
You will be the link between Group and each division, working closely with the leadership teams to provide forward looking decision support.
There's always a lot going on in the office, so if you're confident, personable and like to be kept busy, you could fit right in.
Duties will include:
- Management of a small finance team and complete oversight of all accounting processes, banking reconciliation, creditors etc
- Leading the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process for all group companies including the group consolidation, balance sheet management and producing appropriate review material for the CEO
- Ensuring group companies meet strategic accounting milestones and financial compliance
- Active management, forecasting and improvement of cashflow
- Liaison with auditors on relevant matters including tax and provision of advice
- Fixed assets including depreciation and financial management of capital projects
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified CPA / CA or equivalent
- A senior accountant that is still comfortable in a hands-on accounts production role
- Proven leader with track record of recommending and leading changes with meaningful impact to the organisation
- Demonstrated understanding of forecasting / planning processes and preparation of management reporting
- Ability to adapt to different work styles and personalities
- Experience in building effective relationships with internal and external teams
