About your team:

WM Finance vision is ‘excellence and insights enabled by innovation’.  As part of the WMF team supporting a WM business unit, this team partners with the business to:

• Drive behaviours across WM to achieve strategic financial objectives
• Provide financial leadership in determining strategic business direction and aligned financial strategies
• Protect, preserve and safeguard WM and therefore CBA assets
• Balance capabilities, costs and service levels to fulfil WMF’s responsibilities

Work closely with teams in FS to leverage best practice and expertise to provide value adding service to WM

What does success look like:

Reports to the Senior Manager, Decision Support WMF – Centre, this role plays an integral part of a dedicated team that provides strategic and tactical financial leadership to support the WM executive and CBA senior executives.  The incumbent is expected to play a lead role in managing  key stakeholder groups, with responsibilities including reporting, insightful and actionable analysis, product and pricing support and assurance related activities.

It is important that this role has the capability and experience to participate in business discussions and decisions and drive results for the business.  In addition the incumbent will at times lead or be involved in the delivery of key business and FS initiatives.  It is desirable for the role to have experience in the wealth management and/or financial services industry to offer an insight into business performance.

What will help you succeed:

• Approximately 5+ years in banking / corporate experience preferred
• Post graduate accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, or equivalent)
• A proven track record in multi-tasking – participating in/managing multiple projects simultaneously in a complex business
• Experience working with broader business clients & senior management in a commercial environment
• Highly intelligent, motivated & inquisitive with strong leadership skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, thinks outside the square and enjoys a challenge
• Excellent modelling skills e.g. excel and other modelling skills
• Relevant experience working with transaction advisory/M&A/consultancy services in big accounting firms or similar, Wealth Management experience beneficial
