We are a small CPA firm based in Melbourne's city fringe looking to employ a senior or intermediate level accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience working in a CA or CPA accounting practice.
The Role will involve:-
- Preparation of BAS/IAS on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, trusts, superannuation funds, partnerships and individuals
- Audit of SMSF
- Skilled in preparation of budgets and cashflow projections where required
- General office administrative duties, scanning, filing and mailing
- Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Corporate maintenance of companies
- Bookkeeping duties, data entry and reconciliations
- Occasional liaison with the ATO on behalf of clients
The key skills and qualities required:-
- Proficient in using MYOB suite of products and Xero
- Proficient in Corporate Secretarial software (CAS 360)
- Knowledge in use of Simple Fund 360
- Familiarity of accounting software, SAP, Qucikbooks and MYOB Exonet an advantage
- Advanced knowledge of Word and some knowledge of Excel
Qualifications:-
- Completed CPA or CA ANZ or undertaking studies to attain professional qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting
- Minimum 3 year experience in a public practice accounting firm
The person must be able to work independently and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, keen to learn new skills.
Successful shortlisted candidates will undergo a short aptitude test.
