Northern Territory General Practice Education (NTGPE) is a leading Regional Training Provider educating and training Doctors to become outstanding General Practitioners in Indigenous health and primary health care.

NTGPE is looking to employ a Finance Officer with a high level of accounting, administration and communication skills. You will need to use your initiative and take a proactive approach to your work  to provide accurate and timely financial administrative support to the Finance Manager.

This position is offered on a part time basis at 0.6FTE (44.10hrs per fortnight)

Duties and responsibilities:

• Handle the accounts payable function
• Maintain accurate and accessible records of business documentation
• Assist the Finance Manager to prepare budgets, cost analysis, grant applications, acquittals and reports
• Be able to run the office payroll system during staff leave
• Provide a high level of liaison with internal and external stakeholders

Skills and experience

• Must have demonstrated computer literacy with advanced spreadsheets and other accounting software (MYOB)Demonstrated high level of customer service and client liaison skills
• Demonstrated experience and effective skills working within a team
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning
