The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Client Bookkeeper/ Accountant to join this large, CBD based accounting firm who value and retain their staff. Enjoy the flexibility of staggered start times, a close-to-everything location, excellent training opportunities and client interaction from the start! This role will also involve exposure to advisory work, as this is something the firm does extensively.
  
Excellent communication, a professional presentation, and solid experience working in an accounting firm, bookkeeping firm, or working with multiple clients is needed for this role. 
  
Duties and Responsibilities
  
Seeking a professional and experienced bookkeeper or accountant (or a bookkeeper with accounting aspirations), with experience using accounting software to assist with varying client needs. Don’t worry if you haven’t done the taxation components such as financial statements and tax returns, these can be trained on as long as you have the right base and attitude!
  • Client liaison – client contact from the start!
  • Bookkeeping as required
  • BAS and IAS preparation
  • Preparation of financials
  • Taxation returns
  • Exposure to advisory work
  • Reporting directly into the partners
Requisite Skills & Experience
  
Previous experience within a similar role in a similar role is necessary (minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience), and a good grasp of MYOB, Xero and MYOB AE would be beneficial. Any relevant qualifications would be well regarded. Good communications skills, positive attitude and presentation are essential.
