Our immediate requirement is for a Credit Control Officer to join our Finance Team in Melbourne, Victoria.

As a Credit Control Officer you will share the responsibility for ensuring the protection of the company’s investments by maximising cash flow and minimising bad debts.

This is the perfect role for a Credit Control  Officer with broad execution skills who loves rolling their sleeves up and getting involved.

Main responsibilities:

• High level of outbound calls.
• Negotiating and monitoring payment plans.
• Referring delinquent accounts to an external Collection Agency and following up progress.
• Following up declined direct debit payments.
• Resolving disputes promptly to enable payment to be made.
• Adhering to privacy policy guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Assisting with payment processing and allocations.

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Credit Collections experience in a high volume environment.
• Good working knowledge of the Australian Privacy Principles guidelines & Privacy Act.
• Experience in the utilities industry (desirable).
