The Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance is the professional organisation and trade union for the media, entertainment and arts industries. It represents actors, journalists and entertainment industry employees and has over 15,000 members.
MEAA is looking for applications for a part time Accounts Receivable Officer on an initial 6 month contract (3 days per week, Thursdays essential) to process weekly member income for MEAA members nationally, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
Specific roles
- Weekly processing of members credit card payments
- Weekly Processing of members direct debits
- Weekly follow up of declined payments
- Allocation of member BPAY payments
- Weekly allocation of members payroll deductions
- Processing reimbursements to members
- Reporting of membered income and member declines
- Reconciliation of EFTPOS receipts
- Ad hoc reporting and other duties when required
Performance measures:
·Ensure member income processing is performed weekly to schedule
·Ensure accuracy of member payment processing
·Ensure reports are prepared and maintained in a timely manner
·Ensure that other team members are informed
Attributes:
The Member Income will work closely with the Director, Finance to ensure MEAA member income is processed correctly and on schedule, they will need to be confident, proactive, accurate, and be familiar with accounting software, MS Excel and Word and be able to handle sensitive, confidential information. Previous experience in accounts receivable work is essential preferably in a member processing capacity.
