• Full payroll function - stand alone role processing weekly pays
• Circa $80k- $90k + super

Our client is an employer-of-choice in the Australian Specialty Retail Industry. Their iconic shop fronts and stylish product ranges are well known and they continue to expand their business operations throughout Australia.
 
They are seeking an experienced, hands-on Payroll Specialist to take ownership of the entire payroll function which takes responsibility for the processing a large weekly payroll.
 
This role will suit an experienced Payroll professional seeking a challenging and responsible role.
 
Reporting to the Finance Director the following are the primary responsibilities:

• Payroll processing for over 500 employees
• Weekly payroll runs for various categories of employees incl. casual staff through to management
• Pay superannuation contributions timely
• Calculation of Tax, PAYG redundancies,  workers comp payments etc.
• Extensive data entry, adjustments and reporting
• Communicating with a wide range of management and staff on a daily basis.
• Building strong relationships
• Must be able to multi-task, be well organised and accurate with excellent attention to detail
• Improving and streamlining processes / systems
• Various related ad-hoc duties

In addition to the above experience / skills we seek the following:

• A minimum of 4-5 years payroll experience ideally in retail, banking or services.
• Knowledge of Industry awards. General Retail Industry Award knowledge is preferred but is not essential
• Experience and savvy with payroll software and time and attendance systems
• Advanced Excel
• Excellent communication skills at all levels in the Company
• A bright, cheery, positive, outgoing personality will be warmly welcomed
• The ability to demonstrate a track record of utmost confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with payroll records, privileged information and other sensitive data.
• Payroll experience in a Retailing environment is desirable however payroll experience in Banking or other Service Industries will suffice.
