Due to a recent promotion we are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Partner to join our finance team.  Reporting into our Senior Finance Director this role has two direct reports and will see you providing commercial finance support to our Pharmaceutical business.  You will partner with key business units to add value through commercial insights and manage key stakeholder relationships to support effective decision making to deliver strong business results.  This is a broad commercial finance role that will see you focusing on providing value adding finance partnering to the commercial business, managing month end reporting and financial forecasting/ planning processes.

As a highly experienced financial manager of exceptional quality you can operate autonomously and deal with complexity when required.  You will lead the annual planning process, as well as develop and enhance processes aimed at improving business profit planning and advertising and promotional expenditure control along with new product introduction. The role will see you leverage history and experience within the business to drive innovative changes to systems, processes, reporting metrics and tools. With the objective of driving improved insight to brand performance and total Australian P&L performance and key trends.

About the role:

As an experienced finance professional, you will provide commercial support to our Pharmaceutical business including:

  • Providing leadership and financial expertise to key stakeholders by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks;
  • Ensuring adherence to challenging financial targets by maintaining close financial management.
  • Championing simplification projects and implementation of best practices
  • Supporting and assessing business development, due diligence, third-party deals, partnerships, business evaluation proposals
  • Preparing and coordinating brand plans, forecasts and budgets using the latest assumptions and market data in conjunction with the brand teams.  Driving and supporting Brand Plan delivery
  • Carrying out regular performance reviews (sales, costs, headcount) to give clarity and insight to brand and support function teams.
  • Collaborating with the Business Insights Analysts to provide coherent and quality information to the brand and portfolio directors
  • Lead, and facilitate the capability development of, the 2 commercial analysts reporting into you

    About You:

    You will be suitably qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting a commercial business.  Your strong commercial understanding, ability to work to tight timeframes and self-starter attitude will ensure your success in this role.  In addition, we are looking for the following:

  • CA/CPA- Qualified Accountant
  • Extensive experience within a large, complex commercial organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Extensive experience in financial analysis and business modelling
  • Excellent computer skills and learning agility
  • SAP experience preferred
