The main duties of this role include:
Management Accounting:
Preparation of monthly management and sales reports for presentation to management
Performing analyses of the company’s operating costs, income and expenditure and make recommendations with the aim to increase businesses profitability
Preparation of various financial analyses in relation to businesses structures, investments and growth plans and operational issues and reporting findings and advise owner on this.
Preparation of budgeting and forecasting and performing variance analyses of budget vs actual
Identifying new reporting measures and KPIs to continually improve the quality of information flow to owner
Appraising cash flow statements:
Assisting in formulating each businesses budgetary and accounting policies
Statutory Accounting:
Preparation of weekly, monthly and year end statutory accounts including financial statements
Accounting Systems:
Maintaining accounting systems and assisting in decision making in the selection and application of new systems as required
Requirements:
Demonstrated skill or ability in the preparation of a range of company financial, month end and statutory accounts is highly desirable.
At least one year in similar position preferred.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and present high quality reports for management
Excellent analytical capability
Knowledge of the retail industry is highly desirable
Strong communication skills
