An exciting opportunity is available for an assistant accountant to join our Brisbane based company.

The role is based in the Brisbane CBD however the successful applicants main responsibility is to assist with financial management of our Sunshine Coast based subsidiary company.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily financial issues and any administration issues that may require attention of the Sunshine Coast subsidiary. You will also be required to liaise with staff on the Sunshine Coast with occasional travel to Sunshine Coast to ensure that all revenue and expenditure is captured correctly. Duties include:

• Ensure bank reconciliations are completed and balanced,
• Process payroll of the subsidiary on a fortnight basis,
• Ensure all general ledger accounts balance and are reconciled monthly,
• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts,
• Liaise with tax office regarding monthly & quarterly lodgements,
• Support and assist all head office Brisbane accounting staff as required,

The Successful Candidate will have the following experience and skills such as:

• Previous experience in MYOB or Accpac accounting systems desirable,
• Accounting practice experience desirable,
• Strong experience with month end accounting,
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work in a high pressured role.
