Nexia Australia & New Zealand represents a network of solution focused accountancy and consulting firms supported by global links to Nexia International. Offering a full service accounting solution with experienced partners and an enthusiastic team, we are currently seeking a Manager to join our national technical team.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and technically-minded auditor to take their career in a new direction.

You will work closely with the National Technical Director to provide financial reporting and audit support to a national network of motivated, dynamic offices within Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely, accurate and practical IFRS-related technical accounting support to our national network, including researching and drafting responses to complex accounting queries and delivering seminars and training to our national offices.
• Assist clients implement new and upcoming accounting standards, including drafting technical accounting advice, preparing training materials and presenting on new and existing accounting standards.
• Support the network's audit & assurance teams by providing advice and training on the application of Australian Auditing Standards and contributing to the continual improvement of audit templates and tools.
• Development of, and assisting the delivery of training programs that are part of the National Audit Technical Curriculum.
• Preparing insightful and informative communications to clients and the firms on relevant financial reporting developments and issues.

Requirements & Skills:

• CA qualified or recognised equivalent.
• Full time (preference) however will consider part time (minimum 3 days) or contract role.
• In excess of six years' experience in delivering audit/assurance services and demonstrated experience providing IFRS accounting advice in complex environments or a recent IFRS technical role (eg, Large Firms).
• Detailed understanding of IFRS and the ability to research and analyse complex accounting issues.
• Impressive verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and complete tasks/projects in a timely manner to a high standard.
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce error free work.
• Experience with the application and use of CaseWare (desired).
