Reporting into the Director, this position is responsible for a range of tasks including:

• Provide a leadership role in mentoring, guiding and ensuring professional development of 2 x APS staff
• Carry out quality assurance tasks around CBMS
• Assist in managing the production of the Australian Government’s GGS Monthly Financial Statements, including financial and budget analysis, preparing briefs and correspondence.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders internally and externally. Represent the branch and maintain effective relationships at a senior level, both within the department and with external entities.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate a background and understanding of the Government financial frameworks, hold a baseline clearance and have a relevant tertiary qualification.

This is an EL 1 Financial Accountant opportunity within Federal Government on a 6 month non ongoing basis, with the opportunity to welcome section 26 temp transfers. This role is only available to current APS employees who are an Australian Citizenship and hold a baseline security clearance.
