The role
This newly created Senior Statutory Accounting role is a great opportunity for a technical powerhouse to really make their mark on this impressive global business.
Reporting to a supportive and high calibre Financial Controller, your core responsibilities will predominantly be in relation to complex consolidated financial statements, preparing and communicating them effectively across the business. You will have some hands-on tax exposure. You will work closely with internal and external auditors. You will be responsible for writing technical memos and will have an opinion on IFRS revisions, being fully across any changes to accounting standards.
The ideal candidate
You are someone who acts like an owner, proactively driving things forwards to get to the bottom of any complex issues and understand how the business comes together. You’re bright, disciplined and a go getter. Most likely, you will have reached Assistant Manager level or similar in Big 4 or 2nd tier, and since complemented this experience with a highly technical role in a large complex business. Alternatively, you may still be in a Chartered environment having spent circa 2 years at Manager level, having had opportunities for secondments to clients or similar, where you have demonstrated your ability to apply this technical experience practically.
In summary, you will be technically excellent, looking for a role and business that allows you to showcase this, as well as being a strong communicator with significant proven stakeholder management capabilities.
