AO5 Management Account

Fantastic opportunity to for a Tech Savvy Management Accountant to join this Queensland Government Department based in the area of South Brisbane. This is a massive project and the position is initially a 6 month contract with a view to extension.

This is a great opportunity for an up and coming Management Account looking to get some great experience within government and build on their management accounting and financial modelling skills. Looking for someone who can provide quality reporting.

Principal responsibilities of this role are:

• Coordinate and compile budgetary and financial information to facilitate analysis and ongoing monitoring, review and reporting
• Participate in financial management activities relating to the department’s cash management processes
• Assist with the preparation of budgetary guidelines, timetables and other budget activities and provide support and advice as required to internal stakeholders
• Coordinate and compile responses to adhoc queries from time to time
• Build robust financial models within excel and Utilise the likes of Technology 1 & Power BI for reporting.

To be successful, the ideal candidate will have:

• Well developed knowledge relating to budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, building financial models and cashflow requirements
• Advanced knowledge of Excel / Technology 1/ Power BI
